These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Purchase Memory. By using the application or related services, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Purchase Memory is a personal purchase-history and purchase-memory application. It helps users record, import, organize, search, and recall information about products and purchases.

2. Local-first data model

Purchase Memory is designed so that personal purchase-history data is primarily stored on your device. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for using available backup features where appropriate.

3. Accounts

Some features may require a Purchase Memory account. Supported authentication methods may include Apple and Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account and authentication method you use.

4. Receipt imports and AI-generated drafts

Receipt extraction uses automated document-processing and AI technologies. Extracted values may contain errors, omissions, or incorrect interpretations. You are responsible for reviewing imported purchase information before saving or relying on it.

5. Free and Pro plans

Purchase Memory may offer Free and paid Pro plans. Plans may differ by receipt-import quota, backup capabilities, automation, storage destinations, and other features. Current plan limits, prices, and included features may change over time.

6. Receipt-import quota

A receipt-import quota may be consumed when the service successfully produces a structured receipt draft that can enter the review flow. Technical failures that do not produce a reviewable draft are not intended to consume quota.

7. Backups

Backup features are provided as a convenience and risk-reduction measure, not as an absolute guarantee against data loss. You remain responsible for ensuring that backup permissions, account access, storage availability, encryption keys, and device access remain available where required.

8. Subscription billing

Paid subscriptions may be billed through an app store or another supported billing provider. Renewal, cancellation, refund, and payment rules may also be governed by the terms of that billing provider.

9. Acceptable use

You may not misuse Purchase Memory, interfere with the operation of the service, attempt unauthorized access, abuse quotas, or use the service for unlawful activity.

10. Your content

You retain ownership of the personal purchase information and content you lawfully provide. You grant Purchase Memory only the limited rights necessary to process that content to provide the features you request.

11. Third-party services

Purchase Memory may rely on third-party services for authentication, billing, AI processing, infrastructure, and backup destinations. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

12. Availability and changes

We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We aim to avoid changes that unnecessarily restrict access to locally stored user data.

13. Disclaimer

Purchase Memory is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee that extracted receipt information, product matching, merchant identification, or other automated results will always be complete or accurate.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Purchase Memory and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from use of the service, unless such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Termination

You may stop using Purchase Memory at any time. We may restrict cloud services for serious violations of these terms, security abuse, fraud, or legal requirements. Restriction of cloud services does not imply ownership of or automatic deletion of your locally stored purchase history.
